Dishoom reveals plans to resume launch of Birmingham venue

Indian restaurant chain Dishoom has announced plans to resume the launch of its Paradise Birmingham venue which was postponed due to the coronavirus crisis.

The restaurant, the team’s eighth Bombay café, was due to open on April 1 in a 7,606 sq ft space at the front of One Chamberlain Square, overlooking the new public spaces and Congreve Street.

However, due to the coronavirus epidemic, both the opening party on March 31 and the official opening had to be put back.

Now, the business has announced it will begin to welcome guests back to its cafés from next week.

Starting on Friday 10 July, the phased plan will see the gradual reopening of Dishoom’s cafés in London, Manchester and Edinburgh throughout July, culminating in the launch of Dishoom Birmingham.

• Dishoom Shoreditch, King’s Cross and Carnaby and Dishoom Manchester will open on
Friday 10th July.
• Dishoom Edinburgh will open a week later, on Friday 17th July.
• Dishoom Kensington will open a further week after that, on Friday 24th July.
•Dishoom Birmingham’s launch activity will resume shortly, including the planned soft launch with 50% off food
• Dishoom Covent Garden remains closed for the completion of the café’s redesign.
