Plans for 100 houses in Dudley as 6.5 acre site sold

A 6.5 acre site in Coseley with outline planning permission for 100 houses has been sold.

Countryside Properties (UK) has bought the site in Bourne Street from Real Homes One for an undisclosed sum.

The cleared site is situated in an urban location roughly halfway between Sedgley and Coseley.

After considering a number of options with the site, Countryside said it will be submitting a planning application for a housing scheme in due course.

Countryside West Midlands managing director Adam Daniels said: “We are very pleased to have secured another scheme in the Black Country where we will deliver much needed high-quality new homes for the local market. Our appetite remains strong in the land market as we continue to acquire land throughout the region, supporting our ambitious growth plans for the future.”

Bond Wolfe Commercial chief executive James Mattin said: “We are delighted to have finally got this deal over the line.

“Terms were agreed some time ago and we have had to navigate the challenges of Covid-19 and lockdown with all parties coming together to reach a successful conclusion.

“There remains a strong appetite for sites such as Bourne Street and we look forward to bringing similar opportunities to the market later this year.”

Law firm Freeths in Birmingham acted for Real Homes One and the purchaser was advised in-house.
