New office for firm which fights signs of ageing as it expands into Europe

Absolute Collagen has expanded after opening an office in Telford, where its business functions will be based.

The company, which produces a liquid marine collagen supplement which fights the visible signs of ageing, was founded in May 2017 by Wolverhampton-based Maxine Laceby. Since then, the business has expanded rapidly, now turning over £10m by the end of its third year and employing a team of 15.

The new 3,500 sq ft office space will accommodate the company’s growing workforce, including two new recruits; content writer, Chloe de Lullington, and paid media manager, Paul Harvey, who both joined the team during lockdown.

Packing and distribution operations will also be based at the new address, which is located on Hadley Park Estate, where 20,000 subscriptions of the brand’s award-winning liquid marine collagen supplement will be shipped each month.

The new office follows a successful period for the business, which reported a 234% rise in sales in the 19/20 financial year, preceded by a 529% increase in the 18/19 financial year.

Maxine Laceby, founder and CEO of Absolute Collagen, said: “We’re thrilled to open our brand-new office, where all business functions will operate under one roof. With a growing team and subscriptions increasing daily, moving to a new location was essential to facilitate the ongoing growth of the business.

“Absolute Collagen has come a long way since I launched it three years ago from my kitchen, where I had the simple vision to bring affordable beauty to everyone, and show them that they can be the best version of themselves. At the time, I had been a full-time mum for 25 years and didn’t have any experience in the business world. I’m hugely proud that the business has developed into a thriving company and feel very lucky to have more than 20,000 subscribers to Absolute Collagen.

“We are now expanding across the EU, Germany and Ireland, and the new office location marks the start of the next chapter for the business, with many exciting plans in the pipeline. I’m looking forward to the year ahead and can’t wait until the whole team can be in the office together.”
