James Bodicoat has left a senior position at WSP to take up the role as structural engineering director at Allcott Commercial.

Appointed as an associate partner at the firm, Bodicoat has more than 20 years of experience working with major international engineering consultants.

He will split his time between Allcott’s Birmingham and Coventry offices.

He said: “I’m looking forward to working with a team of highly experienced building surveyors and applying my structural knowledge to a wide variety of projects for Allcott’s existing and new clients alike.”

Matthew Baker, commercial partner, said: “James will be an excellent addition to the leadership team here at Allcott’s. His IStructE and RIBA awards are testament to the excellent standards of his work. It’s clear that he is dedicated to going above and beyond for his clients.

“As an independent company, we pride ourselves on being able to give our clients a personal service; no project – however large or small –  is just a number in a system. James’ dedication to client service shines through in all our discussions about past and future projects, and his commitment to providing expert consultancy and excellent value is clear.”
