People: The latest West Midlands hires

Business transformation consultancy Curium Solutions has announced the appointment of software developer Pierrick Senelaer as the business plans to enhance its digital services and offerings to clients.

Curium director and co-founder James Farrow said: “With the world accelerating toward digital at an unprecedented pace, the ability to offer our services remotely is becoming more important than ever. We are five years into our digital platform development and this appointment will serve to accelerate our latest digital services such as Curium CODE and Voyage Leader.”

Senelaer has been in the web development industry since 2008 and has extensive experience in public sector, advertising and creative industries.

During his career he has worked for a range of clients, expanding his coding and app building experience.

“Curium has given me the opportunity to work on innovative digital products using some of the latest technology and software to build inhouse apps,” he said.

Callum Angell

Birmingham-based development planning company PJA, which also has offices in Bristol, London, Manchester and Reading, has made 11 promotions across its transport planning and engineering departments.

Within the transport planning team in Birmingham, Joe Wooldridge has been promoted to principal consultant; Beth Street and Jane Overton are now senior consultants and Dan Bowditch is consultant.

In reading, Ben Coleman has been promoted to associate and Lucy Smith to senior consultant.

Promotions in the engineering team include Callum Angell as principal engineer and Steph Allcock and Harry Ollerton as senior consultants – all in Birmingham.

Reading’s Richard Brommell has been promoted to associate director.

Birmingham-based Tricia Williams has been promoted to the role of personal assistant to chairman Phil Jones and joint managing directors Nigel Millington and Mark Nettleton.

Millington said: “2020 is certainly proving to be challenging but these team members have helped us ride the storm with their hard work and excellent customer service. I would like to congratulate them on their well-earned promotions.”

Birmingham-based production company Barrett Film Co has welcomed Steve Price as creative lead as it gears up for growth.

Joining with 33 years’ experience in the creative and design industries, Price is set to drive the company forward as it continues building its customer base across the Midlands, Manchester and London.

Barrett Film Co has a client list including Open Study College, National Express, Hunter Price International and The Marketing Pod.

Now, as more brands look at film as a format to engage customers both online and the big screen, the team is gearing up for Q4 with this latest appointment.

Bringing three decades of experience to the role, Price will lead the creative development process for Barrett Film Co’s client base.

He has worked with the likes of Wasps Rugby, Subaru, West Midlands Growth Company and Coop Pharmacy.

Director Jake Barrett said: “It’s great to have Steve’s creative nouse and wise head joining our team and means that we can now react to client briefs even quicker. He’s breathing life into our creative development process and it is a huge support for the company.
