Co-op invests £2.3m in two Birmingham food stores

Co-op is set to serve-up two food stores in Birmingham this month following a £2.3m investment supporting 30 local jobs.

The retailer has overhauled the infrastructure of its petrol filling station located in High Street, Harborne, and extended the food store on site by almost one-third to approaching 3,000 sq ft to create a bigger store.

The Harborne store re-opens on Friday, 16 October, following a £1.5m programme of works which started in early June. It includes Amazon Lockers, hot food, a bakery, Costa coffee express and customer car parking.

Co-op is serving up a new store in University Locks, Birmingham on Friday, 23 October, following a near £800,000 investment by the convenience store chain creating 12 jobs.

Groceries are also available from both stores on the Deliveroo App.
