Day nursery snapped up by group operator

A children’s day nursery based in Staffordshire has been sold to a business operator in the childcare industry.

Chuckle Bunnies is currently registered for 53 children aged between 0-8 years and has been in the present ownership since the 1990s.

Marketed by Redwoods Dowling Kerr, the business was sold to Orange Tree Day Nursery for an undisclosed sum.

Redwoods Dowling Kerr senior sales negotiator Sarah Ellison said: “This is the second setting we have sold on behalf of the sellers.

“It has been a pleasure working with them again to achieve another successful sale in such a short amount of time. From offer to completion has been just over eight weeks.

“The buyer currently runs four successful nurseries, and we are pleased she has chosen to buy a setting through Redwoods Dowling Kerr in her expansion plans.”
