First images of 420 apartment scheme in Birmingham’s Gun Quarter released

Berkeley Group’s St Joseph has revealed the first home at its flagship Snow Hill Wharf community in Birmingham, ahead of first completions in early 2021.

The 420-apartment canal side neighbourhood, located in the city’s Gun Quarter, is St Joseph’s first venture in Birmingham.

The new show home is situated in one of Snow Hill Wharf’s five buildings, named The Barker.

Snow Hill Wharf will include a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, duplexes and penthouses. The show home features two bedrooms, an ensuite bathroom and terrace, as well as an open-plan kitchen, living and dining space.

St Joseph has also announced that 59 per cent of apartments at Snow Hill Wharf have already sold.

This is ahead of the show home launching and first completions in Q1 2021, with recent comparisons from real estate firm, Rightmove, showing sold prices increasing 26 per cent on the previous year within Birmingham’s Gun Quarter and wider B4 postcode.

JLL’s latest UK residential forecast, released earlier in November, predicted Birmingham to have the strongest house price and rental value growth over the next five years – outperforming markets such as London and the South East.

Charlie Joseph, sales director at St Joseph, said: “Snow Hill Wharf has been met with strong demand domestically and internationally, with over half of apartments already sold.

“We are glad that we can finally provide a glimpse into what canal side living at Snow Hill Wharf will truly be like and see this as an opportunity to build St Joseph’s presence in Birmingham and the wider Midlands.”
