Bakery and cafe chain prepares for Mailbox expansion

Bakery and café Medicine is set to open at the Mailbox next month.

The 3,700 sq ft café and bakery on level 2 will be the company’s third location, following Medicine’s successful Codsall and New Street offerings.

Francesca Jones, founder of Medicine said: “We are thrilled to be joining the Mailbox and bringing our unique offer to such an incredible space, we feel very lucky to be in a position to keep growing our business during these challenging times.

“Our menu at the Mailbox will be in line with the ethos of our other locations, with a focus on local, ethically sourced ingredients, delicious fresh breads and pastries in a warm and inviting atmosphere.”

David Pardoe, head of retail, marketing and tenant engagement at the Mailbox, said: “Bringing Medicine to the Mailbox has been a long-held goal of ours, the brand is renowned for excellent quality, delicious food and a welcoming environment. We’re proud to be working with an independent, Birmingham-born business such as Medicine, helping them to broaden their offer in the city.

“Medicine will bolster the grab and go food options at the Mailbox, as well as bringing a fantastic dine in option back to Level 2. It will also offer our onsite customers more choice, as well as attracting people from across the city to come and indulge in a delicious meal.”

The cafe will open on December 3.
