Stafford company helps Asda boost store hygiene with antimicrobial technology deal
Supermarket giant Asda is to use a new antimicrobial product, powered by a Stafford company’s technology, on thousands of shopping trolley handles, door handles, hand baskets and staff equipment.
The grocer has joined forces with shop equipment specialist Wanzl to use its Shield Master product, which is powered by Stafford-based Addmaster’s Biomaster technology and follows extensive testing in laboratories and across a number of shops.
Wanzl Shield Master can be applied within the manufacturing process, providing inbuilt Biomaster antimicrobial technology protection for the life of the product, or it can be added to durable ceramic-based coatings, which can be retrospectively applied to equipment already in service.
