Homeserve makes first acquisition of 2021

Walsall-headquartered HomeServe UK has swooped for a heating and boiler installation firm for an undisclosed sum.

Aqua Plumbing and Heating, which is based in Hampshire, is the listed company’s first acquisition of 2021.

The deal preserves the future of the 28-year old firm as well as its 15-strong team operating out of Lymington on the south coast.

The company will continue to run as it does now, led by company founder and director Sean Ward who will now report to HomeServe’s managing director of installations and repairs Richard Shepherd.

“The acquisition provides some amazing opportunities for myself and the team at Aqua Plumbing and Heating,” said Ward.

“We’ve grown from a one-man operation in 1993 to a 15-strong team that is recognised as one of the region’s brightest and best heating companies and boiler installers.

“Despite some of the challenges COVID threw our way in 2020, it’s exciting to be starting 2021 with blue chip PLC backing and financial support so we have long-term stability and can continue to grow our reach across the southern region.”

The buy out of Aqua Plumbing and Heating is part of a national acquisition drive by HomeServe as it sets out to expand its footprint and market share of the heating and boiler installation market.
