Marketing agency creates string of jobs after securing £1m of new business

A West Midlands content marketing agency is set to celebrate its best financial year after securing £1m worth of new business and welcoming seven new team members.

HDY Agency, based in the creative quarter of Digbeth, has won work with the NHS, Wasps Rugby, British Porridge Company, global technology company Avantra, Cheltenham Science Festival, Ayla Skin, and eco-friendly bedding company Snug.

To support the new contracts, HDY has welcomed Paul Power as art director, Morgan Tedd, creative, Anna Smith, designer and Nathan Hallett, digital creative.

Amanda Radek has joined as senior PR/social manager, Matt Cooper as digital marketing manager, and Matt Rees as senior digital marketing manager.

HDY Agency was co-founded by Heart FM broadcaster Ed James and marketing specialist Angel Gaskell in 2018.

The agency has attributed its recent financial success to boosting the promotion of its services and its commitment to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of its team.

Gaskell said: “Lockdown illuminated the importance of businesses remaining flexible, resilient and innovative to succeed.

“It became a two-pronged approach to ramp up the agency’s content marketing to get our name and proposition out there to prospective new clients, while also recognising the importance of protecting and boosting the team’s wellbeing. We believe that one couldn’t have existed without the other.”
