British Business Bank chooses Birmingham agency for media brief

The British Business Bank, the UK’s economic development bank, has appointed UM Birmingham to manage its media planning and buying for all of its brand and performance activity.

The win will see the agency coordinate the media across both on and offline channels.

The campaign aims to help the British Business Bank encourage and enable smaller businesses across the UK to seek the finance best suited to their needs so they can prosper and grow.

The British Business Bank works with more than 180 private sector partners to unlock finance for smaller businesses including challenger banks, asset finance providers, venture capital funds and marketplace lenders.

Christian Turner, senior customer marketing manager at the British Business Bank, said: “We’re delighted to have UM on board to help us in our mission to make finance markets work better for smaller businesses. We have no doubt that the team’s evidence-based approach will really help to raise awareness of the support we can offer to smaller businesses, whether they’re looking to start-up, scale-up or stay ahead.”

Kevin Murphy, managing director at UM Birmingham, added: “We are thrilled to be working with the team at British Business Bank. It’s a really exciting time to be working with an organisation that is lighting the way for small businesses, especially those who are trying to navigate through today’s turbulent landscape.”
