The McLaren Building

DB3 Architecture has relocated its Loughborough studio to Birmingham, moving into the McLaren Building adjacent to the HS2 site.

DB3 Architecture, which is part of the Darnton Group, has been trading since 1883. The firm employs over 70 people.

“Our move to the Midlands represents an important step for us to better support our ever growing client base in the area. We also see Birmingham in having a very promising future and want to be right in the heart of it,” said Nathan McNamara, managing director of DB3 Architecture.

DB3 has worked on a number of notable architectural projects, including the recently completed £42m Llys Cadwyn scheme in Pontypridd Wales, Adidas retail flagship store on Oxford Street in London, the complete rebuild of Airedale International Air Conditioning, Chancery Lane Residential scheme in London and Michael Woods Leisure Centre in Fife, to name a few.

Michael Cooper, DB3 Birmingham studio head and senior associate said: “Although our move marks the end of an era in Loughborough after almost 40 years there, we are looking forward to putting our stamp on Birmingham and making a difference to the city and region.”
