Dwain McDonald

The chief executive of Smethwick-based delivery firm DPD Dwain McDonald has left the firm with immediate effect.

The move comes after an internal investigation by the company.

A statement from DPD said: “We can confirm that, following an internal investigation, Dwain McDonald has left the company with immediate effect and Yves Delmas, as COO of DPDgroup Europe, will be taking over as interim CEO until a permanent replacement is found.”

McDonald had been with DPD (then Parceline) since 1988, and became CEO in 2008.
