Return to networking first at the West Midlands Leadership Awards

2019 overall winner Matt Jones, centre, with TheBusinessDesk.com's Alex Turner and Curium Solutions' Andy Dawson

The shortlist for the rearranged West Midlands Leadership Awards has been revealed ahead of the prestigious awards event.

This year’s ceremony will take place at the Macdonald Burlington, Birmingham, from 12-3pm on Friday 9th July and will showcase the very best leaders and organisations across the region.

It’ll also be one of your first chances to get back to re-engaging with your network.

TheBusinessDesk.com has created the West Midlands Leadership Awards to celebrate the people that are role models within their organisations and raise the bar for their competitors. The winners will show the qualities of extraordinary leadership and be able to demonstrate the positive impact this has had.

“Great leaders change their organisations and they can also change their sectors and regions,” said Sam Metcalf, Midlands editor of TheBusinessDesk.com.

“But what we understand as great leadership has changed. There is now a much greater demand on leaders to be accessible and visible, and there is a much broader range of leadership styles.

“The West Midlands Leadership Awards will showcase those individuals whose leadership is having a significant impact and delivering fantastic outcomes.”

Impact can be measured in a number of ways, including improving financial performance, organisational culture or external reputation, overcoming adversity and challenges or by enabling other people succeed.

The shortlisted individuals and organisations will be those who have made a difference through a real desire to make things better.

Andy Dawson of headline sponsor Curium Solutions said: “Curium have sponsored the Leadership awards for the last two years in the West Midlands, and we want to continue recognising the leadership talent that exists across the region.

“If ever there is a time to shine a light on Leaders who exhibit the finest leadership qualities, then it is now. The last year has been extremely difficult for businesses of all sizes operating across all sectors. However, it is during these moments when the very best leaders deliver for their businesses, customers and teams. We look forward to cheerleading and celebrating their success across both the East and West Midlands in July.”

The awards lunch will take place at the Macdonald Burlington, Birmingham, on Friday 9th July. Tickets are on sale now, priced £85+VAT each or £800+VAT for a table of 10.
