JCB lands £65m order – its largest-ever UK deal

Staffordshire manufacturer JCB has landed its largest order from a UK customer in its 75-year history.

The deal, signed with plant hire firm Sunbelt Rentals, is for 2,100 machines and is worth £65m.

The investment includes loadall telescopic handlers, mini and midi excavators, site dumpers, tracked excavators and rough terrain forklifts – all manufactured at JCB’s Staffordshire factories.

The plant machines are fitted with a stage V engine, which improves fuel efficiency, whilst optimising performance and reducing carbon emissions significantly.

Sunbelt has also bought 350 JCB access platforms, which range from 15 to 45ft.
