Open air theatre returns to Wolverhampton

Open air theatre returns to Wolverhampton in later this summer with a production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth at Bantock House Museum and Park.

The Lord Chamberlain’s Men will perform with an all-male cast for the production on Friday, August 27.

Gates open at 6pm, at the Finchfield Road venue with the performance beginning at 7pm.

Tickets start from £10 (plus booking fee) and can also be purchased at The Courtyard Café any day between 2pm and 4pm.

City of Wolverhampton Council director of regeneration, Richard Lawrence, said: “It is fantastic to see that theatre is returning, in a safe way, to such an incredible venue.

“The event hosted in 2019 was a spectacular event and enjoyed by a sell-out crowd. I do hope that as many people as possible will get behind this event and support the arts after the difficult time the industry has had.”

This open air production is supported by Arts Council England’s Culture Recovery Fund.
