More high-profile speakers announced for Invest Midlands

Even more business leaders have signed up to speak at Invest Midlands – the forthcoming landmark online conference set to be held online on Wednesday 26 May.

This is your chance to network online with the movers and shakes in business, government and the public and third sectors during an exclusive day of discussion events aimed at shaping a vision for the future of the region – tickets are now available.

Almost 60 high-profile figures from across the region and beyond will join keynote speakers Rt Hon Kwasi Kwarteng MP – Secretary of State – Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and chair of Midlands Engine, Sir John Peace.

The latest speakers to be announced include Mark Stapleton, director of Turner & Townsend, and Nicola Fleet Milne, CEO of Fleet Milne and chair of the Colmore BID who join the panel for the Placemaking with a purpose: the future of towns and cities session.

Meanwhile, Sarah Windrum, incoming chair at the Coventry and Warwickshire LEP joins the Funding the next wave of entrepreneurs and disruptors panel, while Dr David Hardman, managing director of Bruntwood SciTech Birmingham will speak at a session called Chasing Unicorns – Innovation Led Growth in the Midlands.

Serial tech entrepreneur Rob Wilmot, one of the co-founders of Freeserve, development manager at the FSB Natalie Gasson-McKinley and Paul Faulkner, the chief of staff and operations within the group of businesses owned by the Richardson family join a panel chaired by Shakespeare Martineau CEO Sarah Walker-Smith on a session called Diversity in action: Pointing a rainbow of talent towards a bright business future for the Midlands.

And Liz Draper, head of corporate partnerships at Coventry City of Culture Trust will tell our audience about her Big Ideas to Change The Midlands.
