Gupreet Bassi

Bond Wolfe Auctions has been appointed as the official auctioneer for Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council after a public tender process.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe Auctions, said: “Our team is the most experienced and successful auction team in the Midlands and has deep roots in Sandwell and the wider Midlands community.

“We have been acting on behalf of Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council for 16 years, and our team has been responsible for submitting and winning every contract to act for them over this time.

“We will be selling their surplus property assets – anything from vacant residential properties, old office blocks, schools, development sites with or without planning permission, and even grass verges.”

Bond Wolfe Auctions will also be instructed to sell properties via Sandwell’s empty homes scheme, if properties have been sitting empty for a prolonged period.

Bond Wolfe Auctions is also the appointed auctioneer for Birmingham City Council, City of Wolverhampton Council, Walsall Council and West Midlands Police.

In its latest auction held on Wednesday 19 May, Bond Wolfe Auctions set a new company record for the most lots offered in a day, selling 201 lots from the 220 offered, representing a success rate of 92% and raising over £23.5m in sales.
