Historic hall announces re-opening date

Blakesley Hall, the Tudor house a few miles from the centre of Birmingham, will reopen to visitors on July 21.

The Elizabethan house is one of Birmingham’s oldest and most historically significant buildings.

It was built over 430 years ago and is now looked after by Birmingham Museums Trust.

Laura Cox, museum team manager at Blakesley Hall, says: “Blakesley Hall was built as a family home, and it’s been a long time since we’ve had families round. While travel and holidays might still be limited, we hope that people from across Birmingham and the West Midlands will discover this rich, historic, experience on their doorstep.”

Blakesley Hall is open Wednesday to Sunday, 11am – 4pm.

Timed entry tickets must be pre-booked.
