Pub on hunt for 40 staff

A pub reopening in a village near Worcester is holding an open day as it looks to recruit up to 40 staff.

The Crown Inn, in Hallow, is due to open in August after being closed since Christmas and is holding a recruitment open day at its sister pub, the Fox Inn in Bransford, on Monday July 19.

General manager at the Crown Inn, Marc Eeley, said the pub was being given a fresh look before reopening, with internal and external decorating work currently taking place.

He said: “The Crown Inn has always been a popular destination for food and drink, which is testament to the way it has been run in recent years, and we want to continue its success as a welcoming community pub.

“Decorators are currently hard at work freshening everything up to give the pub a contemporary yet traditional look, and we can’t wait to open again in August.

“We are now looking for people to join the team, with very flexible hours and shifts available.

“The open day will be held in the barn annexe at our sister pub, the Fox Inn in Bransford, on July 19 from 12pm to 7pm.”

Owned and operated by Greene King for many years, the Crown Inn will reopen as part of the brewery’s Chef & Brewer collection of country pubs.
