Refurbished flexible offices ‘appeal to post-pandemic downsizers’

Flexible office space is available at a Birmingham building which has been transformed by investment and development company Key Land Capital.

The two-storey property at Aston Cross Business Village is expected to appeal to firms looking to relocate from the city centre to more affordable and flexible space.

The property has undergone a £250,000 refurbishment and now “provides accommodation that embraces the needs of businesses for a post-pandemic flexible office environment”, says Key Land Capital managing director Kevin Sharkey.

The vacant first floor 4,500 sq ft office has been stripped out and refurbished with a Category B fit-out, providing a self contained head office suite which is available for lease under both traditional and flexible all inclusive terms.

Agent Ed Siddall-Jones said: “The space will provide a fantastic opportunity for a company looking to relocate outside of the city centre and take advantage of plentiful car parking and no clean air zone fees.

“The space has been configured to provide impressive meeting room and conference space at ground floor level with open plan arrangement on the first floor. At £12.50 ft2, we are confident we are offering value for money in a traditional business location with excellent access to the city centre and national motorway network. “

Sharkey said: “This is a fantastic location for any businesses that may be considering downsizing out of their existing much larger offices, with big floorplates, and long leases. We have had a lot of interest from businesses that, in the post pandemic environment, believe they will need much less office space as more employees work from home.”

Key Land Capital acquired the 7,000 sq ft building from SK Wouhra in a £595,000 deal. It includes three business units on the ground floor, let to a newsagents, sandwich shop and a PPE business.
