Ceramics firm back in the black after period of recovery

Churchill China, the Stoke-based ceramics manufacturer, is back in the black after posting impressive half-year figures.

For the six months to June 30, profits rose to £1m against a loss of £400,000 last yearm while revenues also shifted up from £18.9m last year to almost £24m this time around.

Alan McWalter, chairman of Churchill China, said: “We remain confident that we will make good progress against our business and financial targets in both the short and long term.”
