Professional services firm to move 850 staff into Paradise Birmingham

Two Chamberlain Square

Paradise Birmingham has confirmed a second major occupier in a month as the city centre development continues to lead the way in securing big-name occupiers.

Atkins has committed to 36,000 sq ft at Two Chamberlain Square as its new hub for its 850 Birmingham staff. The signed deal has been expected for several months and follows the long-awaited Arup deal for One Centenary Way which finally completed in August.

Rob Groves, regional development director with Paradise development manager MEPC, said: “Atkins is another very welcome addition to Two Chamberlain Square where we have now created one of the city’s major professional services hubs. We’re tremendously excited to be welcoming yet another major international professional services brand to the Paradise estate.”

Atkins has agreed a 15-year lease for two floors in the building, where they will join DLA Piper, Knights and Mazars. It plans to move in this autumn following the fit-out of its new space.

Denise Raisey, Atkins regional director for corporate real estate, said: “Our new space will give us the opportunity to embrace fully agile working, with excellent collaboration opportunities for teams to work in designated ‘villages’ that facilitate greater choice in both how and when colleagues work.

“This flexibility, combined with the best location in the city, will create a step-change in our effectiveness and ability to service clients as the economy recovers in the post-Covid world.”
