Leader honoured for efforts to build better business environments

A business leader who has made efforts to build better business environments has been awarded an honorary degree by the University of Wolverhampton.

Amanda Clack has been recognised for her contribution to business management and transformation, having worked for more than 30 years across the built environment sector.

Clack is an executive director at CBRE, where she is head of strategic advisory, head of public sector, and chair of the strategy board. She is also managing director for advisory and a member of CBRE’s UK executive committee and management board.

She is a strategy and business transformation specialist focusing on delivering business value through the built environment.

The University of Wolverhampton presented an Honorary Doctor of Professional Practice to her at a graduation ceremony last week.

Clack said: “At a time where the workplace has the opportunity to reinvent itself post-Covid-19, being recognised as a leader that has contributed to building better business environments, particularly in construction and real estate where much change is still needed, truly is a great honour.

“I am very privileged to be associated with the new School of Architecture and the Built Environment at the University’s Springfield Campus.”

During her career, Clack has been a partner at both PwC and E&Y. She is also a past global president of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), becoming the longest serving president in 123 years.
