Shopping centre to open arts and crafts coffee house

Merry Hill is set to welcome an independent arts and crafts café.

Located on the upper mall near Next, Creative Coffee Hub will provide a range of food and drink options, home décor products, as well as a series of arts and craft workshops for all ages.

Pottery and craft packs will also be available to purchase, and visitors can take part in a range of craft activities, including decorating ceramic flamingos and lighthouses in store to take home.

Creative Coffee Hub will also be welcoming a number of local art experts to host craft activities over the coming months.

Tamara Cameron, owner of Creative Coffee Hub said: “Merry Hill is the perfect place for us to open up our newest coffee shop. The centres’ connection with the local community mirrors our passion and focus to create a space for local artists, families and students to work, relax and get crafting.

“We put the local community at the heart of everything we do, and we can’t wait to get to welcome visitors to our shop.

“Over the next few months, we’ll also be encouraging group meet-ups and displaying some of the best artwork from local artists.”

Jonathan Poole, centre manager at Merry Hill, said: “The Creative Coffee Hub is an exciting addition to our food and beverage offering at Merry Hill, as it provides a unique twist on the coffee shop experience with a sense of community at its heart.

“With a focus on craft and decoration, it gives our visitors a chance to try their hand at something creative and will no doubt be a success with families looking to keep their little ones entertained this summer.

“Looking ahead, we’ve got a busy and exciting pipeline of events at Merry Hill this summer, and we’re looking forward to unveiling more announcements over the coming weeks.”
