Land specialist sells 181-home site

Land promoter The Strategic Land Group (SLG) has sold the 16-acre second phase of a new housing development in Stoke-on-Trent to Bellway in a deal that will create 181 homes.

The first phase is already underway following the sale of 17-acres to Persimmon in January.

Bellway has already submitted a reserved matters planning application and hopes to start on site towards the end of the year.

The site is located at Caverswall Lane, Meir.

Paul Smith, managing director of The Strategic Land Group, said: “We’re very pleased to have completed the sale of the second phase of the site – it’s very well-located, close to amenities and with an abundance of green space so it’s sure to be a very popular place to live.

“The development offers a range of new homes, from one bed properties to four-bedroom family homes, so there’s a real opportunity here to create a friendly, well-rounded community.”

Hinson Parry and Eaton and Hollis advised SLG on the sale.
