Birmingham’s Alantra advises ParcelHero on major investment
Birmingham-based Alantra has advised ParcelHero, a leading e-commerce shipping platform and software provider, on receiving significant investment from US-based The Firmament Group.
Westbrooke Alternative Asset Management partnered with Firmament as a co-investor in the transaction.
Founded by Roger Sumner Rivers, who has over 25 years of experience in the logistics technology space, ParcelHero is a leading e-commerce shipping platform and provider of multi-carrier shipping software to enterprises and consumers.
The business offers domestic and international shipping options via the largest selection of carrier partners in the UK.
ParcelHero’s technology allows businesses of all sizes to optimise shipping costs and automate logistics processes.
The investment from Firmament will help fund the ongoing development of ParcelHero’s B2C software platform and a new B2B capability, which will enable retailers to manage multiple carrier relationships through a single platform.
Alantra advised ParcelHero on the transaction, led by Robert Young with support from Harry Sparks.
