City briefs: Homeserve; Trakm8

Homeserve, the home maintenance business, has revenues and operating profit rise for the six months to the end of September.
The firm says that turnover grew by 14% to £610.5m during the period, while profits rose by 24% to £54.7m.
Homeserve says the figures were driven by strong performance in North America, Home Experts and Continental Europe.
Richard Harpin, founder and group chief executive, said: “This is another very good set of results for HomeServe, with significant progress across all areas of the business. We are building significant long-term value in Home Experts, with continuous innovation in our leading online platform in Checkatrade. Our ambitions for the current financial year are unchanged, which means that we expect to deliver an acceleration in performance this year, followed by significant longer term growth. Creativity, delivery and momentum have never been stronger.”
Trakm8, the Coleshill telematics and data insight firm, has seen a return to profit for the six months to September 30.
The firm made a profit of £47,000 over the period, against a loss of £845,000 last year.
Revenues also increased – up 23% to just over £9m.
A statement from the company said: “Despite additional costs associated with mitigating supply chain challenges and expected significant component price increases, the board remains confident that for the full year ending 31st March 2022, the group will be slightly ahead of current market expectations on all profit measures. It is expected that this will be achieved on lower than previously expected revenues of circa £18m due to softening of the telematics insurance market.”
