Home-care service provider Bluebird Care has increased operations following six-figure funding from HSBC.

The funding will benefit operations across Birmingham and Solihull and has enabled the procurement of a 1000 sq ft new office space and IT infrastructure.

In addition, it has facilitated recruitment as the company welcomes three new office hires as well as ten new carers in the region.

During the pandemic, Bluebird Care says the demand for its companionship services increased, which offer company and support to members of the community. Therefore, funding will be directed towards marketing efforts to develop its strategy and reach more people.

Kam Goraya, managing director at Bluebird Care, said: “We are pleased to have been able to hire 13 new staff across our offices and care teams and to provide vital care services for our growing customer base.

“With the funding from HSBC UK and the consistent support of our Relationship Manager from the bank Kasim Jaffer, we’ve been able to continue to grow the business and invest in marketing our services across the region. We are so proud of the work our team has done to support vulnerable people, particularly during what has been a difficult time for so many.”

Mark Lupton, area director at HSBC UK, said: “Bluebird Care provides vital care to many Midlands residents. It has developed its reputation and footprint in the local area to keep up with the growing demand for its services which can make such a difference to people’s lives. We’re pleased to support the business as it continues to invest in the community.”

Bluebird Care was founded in 2004 as a small family business and has grown to a national franchise of over 200 sites across the network, delivering 20,000 care visits per day.
