Events staffing firm sees 600% increase in turnover

A Kenilworth event staffing business has grown significantly since widening its services into Covid-19 support and catering.

Aesthetics Event Staff says it has helped customers to manage the current labour shortages in the catering industry including a range of Premier League football grounds and stadiums.

The company has doubled the number of employees to around 3,000 and says its turnover has increased by 600%.

Following a six-figure CBILS loan from Lloyds Bank, the firm has been able to provide staff at Covid testing sites as events were put on hold alongside clinically trainer swabbers at airports, stadiums and shopping centres.

Lee Thomas, managing director at Aesthetics Event Staff, said: “The staff shortages in the hospitality and catering sector have been much publicised, and we know this has affected a number of our customers. We have been quick to offer our support and have been able to provide the manpower and expertise that they need.

“The pandemic has been an incredibly difficult time for us, and the funding we received from Lloyds Bank was absolutely vital to ensuring we could not only survive the lull in the events industry during lockdown but also lend our help to Covid testing sites.”
