Freight distributor purchases site it has leased for 20 years

Palletised freight distribution network Palletline has purchased the site it has operated from for 20 years.

ABE Ledbury bought the 2.5-acre site on Bromyard Road in Ledbury due to its expansion into the sites warehouses, offices and workshops. The 30,000 sq ft space had been leased by ABE Ledbury for the past two decades.

Established in 1972, the company joined Palletline in 1994 but was wholly acquired in 2017. Employing 75 people and with a fleet of 50 vehicles and 60 trailers, it serves Herefordshire, Ledbury, Warwickshire and part of Gloucestershire.

It began serving mainly agricultural customers before expanding into smaller consignments, groupage loads and tankers.

Paul Elson, Palletline’s Logistics Director said: “This is a bold and insightful investment that demonstrates ABE Ledbury’s commitment to the local community.

“We have worked together for nearly 30 years and they have delivered exceptional service for shareholding members and customers alike.”
