Fleet specialists drive growth with merger

Birmingham headquartered Rivus Fleet Solutions and Doncaster’s Pullman Fleet Solutions, have merged, creating a group with a workforce of more than 1,300.

The integration combines decades of LCV, HGV, Electric Vehicle (EV) and specialist equipment fleet management expertise into one business, to be known as Rivus, helping its nationwide customer base keep their vehicles managed, maintained and on the road.

Rivus Fleet Solutions was formerly BT Fleet, which was acquired by parent company Aurelius Investments in 2019. Its fleet management operations support clients such as BT Openreach, the AA, the Post Office, E. ON, National Grid, DEFRA, and St John Ambulance.

Pullman Fleet Solutions, also acquired by asset management firm Aurelius in November 2020, was the largest independent provider of commercial HGV maintenance and fleet management in the UK for household brands such as Tesco, Morrisons and Wilko.

Its move to become fully integrated with Rivus Fleet Solutions means the firm’s combined years of expertise in light commercial and heavy goods fleet management, servicing and maintenance will enhance the overall offer.

David Myers, CEO of Rivus, said: “Rivus Fleet Solutions and Pullman Fleet have been leading names in the UK fleet industry for a number of years and although we have been working closely together as separate entities, now is the time to embark on our next exciting chapter and officially come together as one stronger, more integrated business.

“We are merging the talent of our teams and sharing expertise across one organisation, which makes us a clear choice for businesses looking to manage service, maintain and repair their fleets through a single provider – whatever their fleet size or type. It also brings with it great career opportunities for our internal teams.”

He added: “We can be at the forefront of fleet management, delivering a one stop shop, which helps our customers save time and money. We’re making it easier for people to do business with us and we can support them by making operational improvements, minimising vehicle downtime, improving fleet efficiency and proactively solving problems using advanced data analytics.”
