People: Calthorpe Estates welcomes two additions; New trustees for Birmingham Museums; and more

Calthorpe Estates has appointed Richard Suart as property director and Tom Foley as asset manager.

With 24 years of experience, 13 of which were spent as regional property director for Northern Trust Property Company, Suart brings a wealth of knowledge to his new position and will lead the company’s asset management team. He will focus on customer service and financial growth.

Foley will lead on the asset management of the estate’s properties. He previously worked for NFU Mutual’s Insurance Fund, where he was responsible for overseeing nationwide projects, including a £7m office refurbishment in Glasgow, and a £2m transformation in Manchester.

Haydn Cooper, chief executive of Calthorpe Estates, said: “Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we have seen Edgbaston continue to flourish with the backdrop of renewed public realm in Greenfield Crescent.

“All in all, it is an exciting time for the business, as we see the likes of Chapter Restaurant, Lux Gallery and KIN Homes join the Village, the continuation of the popular Artisan Markets and the Edgbaston Village Metro stop set to open shortly. I look forward to working with Richard and Tom as we continue to engage with our communities and create exceptional places to be enjoyed by people who live, work and visit Edgbaston.”
