People: Partner promotions at accountancy firm; JLL expands Birmingham planning and development team; and more

Dains Accountants has completed another successful year, recording 10% growth for the year ended 31 March and as a result of the progress the firm has made, it has announced 20 promotions so far in the year.

Adam Longmore and Terri Bruce are promoted to partner.

Chief Executive Richard McNeilly said: “Adam and Terri are typical of the people we are seeking to recruit. They are ambitious for growth, committed to outstanding client service via advisory support and work well as part of a team.

“Adam is part of our Corporate Tax team which has grown by almost 50% in the past five years and Terri has created a high quality, profitable and sustainable Indirect Tax and Customs business, which complemented our existing offering. I am delighted that they have become Partners and wish them continued success.”

JLL has expanded its team in the Midlands with the appointment of two new graduate planners in its Birmingham office.

Sarah Jones and Joe Blick have joined JLL’s six-strong Planning & Development team at its office on Church Street, after both graduating from the University of Birmingham last year.

They will provide guidance, strategy, and advice to JLL’s commercial and residential clients across the region, including Nurton, IM Properties, Spitfire Homes, Barclays and University of Lincoln on a range of planning matters.

Echo Managed Services has appointed Aidan Emms as head of operations at its head office in Walsall, the latest in a recent series of senior hires.

In his new role, he will oversee end to end customer service delivery for Echo’s clients, South Staffs Water and Cambridge Water, including multi-channel contact handling, billing and collections activity, meter reading, and leading the 150-strong team as the business continues to support its clients in their mission to provide an industry leading service experience.

Emms, who was previously at HomeServe for 22 years, brings with him extensive experience of running customer services operations and working closely with clients to add value to their businesses, alongside strong leadership skills and vast expertise in operational change management.

This appointment comes at a key time for the water sector as Echo’s clients continue to drive customer service excellence, digitalization, and prepare for the challenges of PR24.

Emms said: “Echo is a water sector expert and it’s clear to see the value the team has brought to its clients and long-standing relationships over the years.
