Strike at healthcare delivery firm called off as pay deal agreed

A strike at a healthcare logistics firm has been called off after its staff won a big pay deal.

Workers were being balloted for industrial action at DHL Life Sciences and Healthcare in Coventry in a dispute over pay.

The GMB Union said bosses have now offered workers an 8.5% pay rise to £10.30 an hour, which all of its members have now accepted.

Ian Edwards, GMB organiser, said: “This is a fantastic win for the workers. Through standing together they’ve won a big pay rise which will help them make ends meet during the cots of living crisis.

“Well done to DHL life sciences for listening to their staff, who can now get on with the job they love.”
