Drainage company lands four year contract with Birmingham City Council
OnSite, South Staffordshire Plc’s national wastewater and drainage specialist, has landed a four-year contract with Birmingham City Council.
The Worcester-based business, which partners the UK water sector and works with a growing number of commercial and industrial customers across the country, will be one of three suppliers supporting the authority in maintaining rivers, brooks, reservoirs, pools and drainage.
A spokesperson at Birmingham City Council said: “We were impressed with OnSite’s credentials in this space and their ability to deliver a high quality of service and innovation. We are committed to looking after the local environment throughout our city for the community that lives and works there, and for our many visitors. We look forward to working with the OnSite team to help us achieve this.”
Tom Rochford, head of drainage services at OnSite added: “We are thrilled to have been chosen by Birmingham City Council to support the important maintenance of the city’s waterways and drainage network and can’t wait to get started. I am confident that our experience, together with an expert team, specialist equipment and the latest technologies, will support the council team in its objectives.”
The new contract is the latest success for the drainage business, having recently won new contracts in the water sector with Anglian Water and Severn Trent Water and its pipeline division being appointed to the Eden Geothermal Project.
