Courier firm delivers record revenues

Courier company Crown SDS has achieved its £8m revenue growth over the past year and is growing both its customer and driver base.

The Tamworth-based company attributed the results to the addition of new customers across a range of sectors, including 3PLs, manufacturing and healthcare.

The company has also taken on 500 new drivers in the last year alone to meet demand.

Steve Rushton, Crown SDS director, said: “This is such an exciting time for Crown SDS — our growth is a testament to both our hard-working team and drivers within our network.

“Thank you to our wonderful clients, whether old or new, who have chosen Crown as their logistics provider. Not only has it enabled us to continue delivering best-in-class service, but it has allowed us to invest in our technology and stay ahead of the curve when it comes to service innovation.”

Crown SDS has recently updated its IT capabilities with integrated systems, such as barcoding, sign-on glass and PODs, to meet the needs and requirements of customers.

Rushton added: “Our growth over the last year has been a remarkable highlight for us here at Crown. This means we’re extremely well-placed to continue expanding our teams and operations for years to come.”
