Two firms join Alpha Birmingham following £16.5m refurbishment

Two deals have been completed at Alpha, followed a £16.5m refurbishment by CEG.

Laing O’Rourke are basing its 60-strong project team in a 3,575 sq ft fully fitted office.

Whilst strategic online shopping firm Redbrain is relocating 45 members of staff to take half a floor of Let Ready space.

Through Let Ready, both organisations are taking advantage of being able to grow with the opportunity to start with three staff to up to 300 staff without changing address.

Alex Hough, the workspace manager at CEG, said: “Securing these tenants for Alpha highlights the benefits of flexible space for Birmingham businesses and shows how an amenity lead building can help create an engaged and motivated workforce for our tenants.”

“Alpha is an iconic 28-storey tower which provides 196,000 sq ft of office space. It can accommodate all sizes and types of businesses at all stages in their journey”.

Kazal Ahmed, the head of operations for Redbrain, said: “Post COVID, we found Alpha gave us the amenity, flexibility, and growth options we needed while easing back into the office.

“We initially took space in Alpha Works while we figured out what Redbrain’s new normal was, and a year down the line, we were ready to take half a floor of Let Ready fully fitted space on a flexible all-inclusive lease. The transition from floor 21 to floor nine couldn’t have been easier”.

Sharon Cooke, the office manager from LMJV, a joint venture between Laing O’Rourke and J Murphy & Sons said: “Since moving into Alpha, everything has gone smoothly. Everyone in the building is very welcoming, and the reception/ café is really helpful. The Life by CEG app is great for keeping you up to date with building information and exciting offers & events”.
