Property consultancy assembles specialist Birmingham-based project management team

JLL has strengthened the support it provides to developers undertaking some of the region’s most complex new-build and repositioning development projects by creating a specialist project management team in its Birmingham office.

The division, headed by JLL’s head of project and cost management, Simon Lea, comprises existing JLL specialists and newly appointed hires that will bolster the team’s breadth of knowledge and ability to oversee a wide range of construction projects in the region.

Rea is joined by new hires Rachel Leung as director, a former associate director at CBRE, Ruramayi Msekiwa, assistant project manager, and Craig Lambert as director, who was most recently a project manager for Lloyds Banking Group.

Experienced JLL specialists joining the Project Management team include Jonathan Deans as associate director, who brings his background in surveying and eight years with JLL to the division.

Completing the team is Mike Dagnall, a senior engineer with more than 30 years of experience in the construction sector.

He was previously technical director at one of the world’s leading engineering professional services firms WSP, a position he held for nine years.

Lea said: “We’re seeing consistent demand for our project management services as more assets go through significant transformation, triggered by values and the need to transition to Net Zero. The breadth of the new team turbocharges our project management capabilities and reinforces our commitment to support Midlands businesses, however complex their project may be.”
