SCCB_logoWith more than 20% of the region’s population under 16, the West Midlands can massively benefit from equipping its young population with the correct skills.

Businesses can make a huge difference by helping to upskill the next generation, whilst boosting their own workforce with homegrown talent.

For the region to capitalise on the opportunities it has, partnerships are essential to increase productivity and deliver growth.

In addition, research from the Education and Employers Taskforce shows that a young person who has four or more encounters with an employer is 86% less likely to be unemployed or not in education or training and can earn up to 22% more during their career.

Joining us to discuss this vital topic is Rebecca Waterfield, Director of Business Development at South & City College, Dale Powell, Social Value Manager at Wates Construction Central, with more panellists to be announced.

Attendees will also have the chance to sample contemporary dining styles from some of the region’s most promising young chefs at South & City College’s Karibunis Restaurant.
