Delivery management firm expands with 14,000 sq ft depot

E-fulfilment logistics specialist Whistl has expanded its Parcelhub brand into the West Midlands with the opening of a new depot just off the M5 in Smethwick.

The 14,000 sq ft depot will offer SME’s and mid-market online retailers a regional and personalised service with local collections and consolidation of their parcel volume through one point of contact.

Fourteen jobs will initially be created with more opportunities expected. Roles include depot management, collections drivers and warehouse operators.

Customers will be served by Parcelhub’s recently announced electric van fleet with electric charging infrastructure installed into the depot as part of the fit out of the site.

Parcelhub now covers both East and West Midlands, South Yorkshire, East London and Essex and will look to support e-commerce businesses in Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton from the new depot.
