Green tech business signs up to Manufacturing Technology Centre

Fast-growth green tech business Katrick Technologies has joined the Manufacturing Technology Centre.

Katrick’s patented suite of technologies uses the power of oscillations to provide profitable zero-carbon electricity and power saving.

The MTC will support Katrick Technologies’ next generation of infrastructure and help bring its patented technologies to market.

Over the next year Katrick Technologies will work alongside the MTC to develop its urban wind device and related business activities.

Chris Brown, senior business development manager at the MTC, said: “We are excited that Katrick Technologies has joined the MTC as a member and look forward to working together to support the delivery of a comprehensive innovation strategy for the zero-carbon market. The membership is a significant strategic opportunity to develop capabilities and apply fast growing technologies for the next generation of infrastructure. We look forward to growing the zero-carbon ecosystem with Katrick Technologies for a better world.”

Vijay Madlani, co-CEO of Katrick Technologies, said: “Katrick Technologies is delighted to be partnering with the MTC to help deliver our innovative renewable technologies to the global market. At Katrick Technologies, we recognise the critical support that manufacturing catapult centres such as the MTC play to help deliver technological innovation. We are looking forward to working together and alongside companies such as Rolls Royce, Siemens, and GE to deliver a net zero future.”

The MTC was founded by the University of Birmingham, Loughborough University, the University of Nottingham and TWI Ltd. The MTC’s industrial members include some of the UK’s major global manufacturers.

The MTC aims to provide a competitive environment to bridge the gap between university-based research and the development of innovative manufacturing solutions, in line with the Government manufacturing strategy. The MTC is part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, supported by Innovate UK.
