The second location for flexible workspace operator x+why has opened in Birmingham’s tallest office building – 103 Colmore Row.

B Corp certified x+why will be operating 31,500 sq ft of flexible workspace across the first, second and third floors; consisting of private offices, dedicated desks, and creative breakout areas, as well as bookable meeting rooms, mission rooms and phone booths. All tenants of 103 Colmore Row will be able to use meeting rooms and event spaces of various sizes.

As a certified B Corporation, x+why has designed its space to be as sustainable and green as possible, with building credentials such as an EPC A rating, BREEAM Excellent accredited, Wiredscore rating of Platinum and electric car charging points.

The operator will also be managing eighteen, an exclusive member’s clubspace on the 18th floor. This space includes a lounge, bar, meeting rooms, boardroom, and a 3,000 sq ft outdoor terrace with views across Birmingham.

Members of eighteen will enjoy an all-day food and drinks menu, breakout space for work and socialising, and regular social events. The space is also available to the public for private hire.

x+why members will also have access to a cultural programme of events and workshops, including x+why’s proprietary Mission Lit and WhyB Programmes.

Rupert Dean, CEO and co-founder of x+why commented: “We have been wonderfully welcomed into the Birmingham business community and feel incredibly lucky to be a part of such a thriving city.

“Colmore Row is a beacon of our continued commitment to creating engaging, sustainable and community-orientated spaces. Colmore Row offers entrepreneurs, scale-ups, corporates, and everybody in-between the opportunity to operate their business from a premium space, with the additional benefit of flexibility.

“The private offices and enterprise suites available, alongside the addition of club space, eighteen, allow employers to rebuild internal culture and collaboration, whilst making the decision to return to the workplace an easy one for employees.”
