Bid consultancy switched on for Lightbulb Credit contract

Bid consultancy Stephen Alexander has partnered with Lightbulb Credit to boost its bid consultancy services for clients looking to win new public and private sector contracts.

Stephen Alexander is a Redditch-based bid consultancy set up earlier this year by co-founders Alex Footman and Stephen Timmins and works with businesses across a range of sectors including construction, facilities management, planned and reactive maintenance, and marketing and creative agencies.

Nottingham-based Lightbulb Credit is the UK’s first trade credit rating advisory business and offers whole market credit rating review, improvement, and monitoring services for businesses.

The partnership will see Stephen Alexander become Lightbulb Credit’s exclusive bid consultancy partner, as the two businesses work together to provide companies with a complete bid readiness service.

Timmins said: “A core part of what we do at Stephen Alexander is focused on helping businesses prepare properly for a bid to put them in the best position possible to secure new work through competitive tendering. The partnership with Lightbulb Credit will add significant value to our clients to help them understand their trade credit rating and fits perfectly with our bid-readiness service as we continue to help our clients win new work.”

James Piper, managing director of Lightbulb Credit, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Stephen Alexander. A poor trade credit rating can have a material impact on a business’s ability to win new work through competitive tendering and we see plenty of businesses being removed from bid processes due to poor ratings. Their experience and expertise in delivering bid and tender support for businesses will add significant value to our client relationships and we look forward to developing this new partnership.”
