Sixty firefighters tackle Dudley blaze

More than 60 firefighters were called to a single-storey industrial building in Dudley on Sunday morning (November 13) to tackle a ‘significant’ fire.
The unit, near Dudley bus station, drew 10 fire engines at 2,30am, a 4×4 response vehicle and a hydraulic platform from crews at Dudley, Tipton, Oldbury, Haden Cross, Brierley Hill and Bilston fire stations.
A number of residents were temporarily relocated to a local fast food restaurant, as a precaution, whilst crews brought the fire under control.
On Sunday evening, Dudleys’ Fisher Road bus station, operated by National Express, was still closed along with road closures still in place on St Joseph Street and Porters Fld.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
