Underground speakeasy to open in the Jewellery Quarter

A brand new bar, restaurant and late-night venue is set to open in the Jewellery Quarter this Friday (December 16).

Tabu Bar & Restaurant brings together Pan Asian cuisine and live entertainment in an underground 1920s New York inspired speakeasy venue.

Boasting a spacious bar and dining area, along with private booths for groups, Tabu will be home to live music every Thursday-Sunday night.

The 400-person capacity venue will be able to host 200 in the restaurant where chefs will serve up sushi and gyoza until 11pm. Diners are set to be entertained by performers, with resident DJs and live percussion and saxophonists playing in the bar and lounge.

Whilst performers entertain diners, the venue’s resident DJs will play a soulful urban fusion in the Jewellery Quarter bar and lounge accompanied by live percussion and saxophonists.

Currently open Thursday-Sunday night from 5pm-late, Tabu will be offering bottomless brunches and daytime lunches from 12pm on Saturdays and Sundays in the new year.
