Trainer opens new centres thanks to loan

A £130,000 loan from Partnership Investment Finance (PIF) has helped Yorkshire-based training provider T-Centrix open new branches in Birmingham and Middlesbrough creating 15 new jobs.
T-Centrix provides bespoke training packages for private businesses in the construction, transport, business and service sectors.
Tony Higgins, managing director of T Centrix, said that the new centres allowed the firm to expand its business into new geographical areas.
“The PIF loan means we had the working capital to complete our expansion plans which will lead to our business becoming more profitable,” he added.
T-Centrix now employs more than 80 staff and has a total of six training centres based all over the UK including facilities in London, Goldthorpe in South Yorkshire and its head office in Castleford, West Yorkshire.
Mr Higgins said: “Many of our clients are operating on a tighter budget this year so we are adapting our courses to make sure our training programmes use staff time as efficiently as possible.
“For example, attendance at one of our courses can lead to achieving more than one qualification and we will visit businesses at a time and place which suits them. We feel this approach sets us apart from the competition, which is why we want to grow our business to its full potential.”
PIF is a loan and investment fund aimed at supporting growing businesses in Yorkshire and the Humber.
It aims to encourage enterprise and economic regeneration by providing finance to eligible businesses in the region’s Objective 2 areas.
Paul Baxter, PIF lending manager, said: “T Centrix has a strong management team who are keen to grow their business.
“They put forward an excellent business plan which clearly demonstrated the market demand for their services in the West Midlands and the North East.”
