Shortlist revealed for Midlands Props Awards 2023

The 2023 Midlands Props Awards shortlist has been revealed, selected by the Board of judges for their outstanding qualities.

The awards, hosted by former England Rugby Captain Kyran Bracken MBE , recognises the leaders making a difference in the world of Midlands real estate. Midlands Props sponsored by Bond Wolfe raises funds for Variety, the Children’s Charity. The awards ceremony takes place on Thursday, 27 April 2023 at Birmingham’s Grand Hotel.

The awards encompass a wide range of categories, including Industrial Deal of the Year, Residential Project of the Year and Rising Star Award.

Industrial Deal of the Year

  • Avison Young for the development by Baytree which delivers a campus for Rhenus
  • Barberry for 3.5-acre brownfield site from ASSA ABBLOY at Well Lane Wolverhampton
  • Trebor for a 5.4 acre Site in Telford for DHL

Investment Deal of the Year

  • Court Collaboration for One Eastside, build-to-rent project in Birmingham with 667 units across two towers
  • Bromwich Hardy for Exhall Three site in School Lane, Coventry sold for £7million
  • CBRE for the £80m acquisition of 125 Colmore Row

Office Deal of the Year

  • Paradise Birmingham for Goldman Sachs long-term lease agreement for a 110,000 sq ft permanent office space at One Centenary Way
  • Stoford Developments Ltd for an office building of 18,015 sq ft for Swedish engineering company, Sandvik Coromant in Manor Way, Halesowen
  • Stoford Developments Ltd for 19,849 sq ft office building for ZwickRoell at Worcester Six Business Park

Regeneration Project of the Year

  • Cordia Blackswan for The Gothic in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter
  • Trebor Developments for the site formerly operated by Tata Steel
  • Woodbourne Group for the net Zero carbon ready Development at Curzon Wharf

Residential Developer of the Year

  • Cordia Blackswan for the Great Hampton Street plan
  • Court Collaboration for bringing one of the world’s largest global real estate funds, PGIM Real Estate into Birmingham
  • Prosperity Wealth for the ‘Urban Living’ pipeline including over 1,200 apartments

The ESG Award

  • St Modwen Logistics for the development of the Swan Standard development guidelines, exemplified by Unit 5 at the Cofton Centre in Longbridge
  • Hollis global for managing the sustainable refurbishment of a 5110m₂ unit in Lichfield on behalf of Legal & General
  • Woodbourne Group for the net Zero carbon ready Development at Curzon Wharf
